Director of The Academy

Tony Dupaquier is considered the industry’s most forward-thinking F&I and sales trainer and consultant creating The Academy’s Y.E.S. Processes. Tony leads the 10 certified trainers and in-dealership developers at The Academy as the Executive Director of The Academy. Tony earned a degree in Communications from Sam Houston State University and has since become a 25+ year veteran of the automotive industry.

He has held nearly every position in variable operations, from salesperson to General Manager, and is a former Nissan National Walk-Around Champion. Tony has been a featured workshop presenter at the NADA Convention for a number of years, including 2017, addressed international dealer groups on F&I and sales techniques, and spoken at numerous 20 Groups and dealer associations. He also contributes F&I articles to many industry publications. As Executive Director of The Academy, Tony is responsible for its direction, training material, and marketing.

Tony currently resides in Austin, Texas.

Why is there a setup fee?

The Academy VTN is tailored specifically to your store with a unique login for all of your personnel that you give access to the system. This requires a unique set of parameters that have to be set up depending on the number of users you pick.

Can I cancel at any time?

Is The Academy moving away from face-to-face training in the dealership?

No. The Academy will always be the leader in boots-on-the-ground training in the in-dealership. The VTN is designed as a supplement for when your personnel need a quick boost to their working day, or they need to remind themselves of a closing technique they learned in one of our workshops. The VTN also give us a platform to bring you updates regarding production, compliance, and leadership instantaneously.

How often will new content be added to the system?

As often as possible. This will continue as we build a robust library full of top notch industry topics that will start with F&I. The VTN’s sales training content is arriving soon.
